Lace and roses

Top and shoes from New Look // Bag from H&M // Bracelets from Pull&Bear // Local store skirt

This is what I wore yesterday, when Marius and I celebrated our anniversary. He made dinner and at the end of the day, we released a couple of sky lanterns (I love those things!)

30 minutes no-heat curls/waves

As a long-haired person, styling my hair is a chore. Of course, it's nice to have hair that is polished to perfection, but after 45 minutes of wrapping locks around the curling iron and realizing that I'm not even half through the process, I almost want to chop it off (but I won't). Not to mention the damage and the burns. Ugh. So I tried nearly every method that will give me curls or soft beach waves in the summer without big fuss and fried hair (a.k.a. heat-less methods). I won't sleep with plastic rollers in my hair ever again, it's extremely uncomfortable, they always slip elsewhere and I need about 50 of those! The sock bun was a failure, my hair is too long and thick and I end up with a bun that's double the size than my head. The headband method only curled my front strands, because, again, my hair is too long. With bobby pins it takes ages and the curls are too small. The only way that seemed reasonable was wrapping my strands around pieces of cotton, but I had to figure out how to do it fast and without looking like Merida from The Brave. No offense, but it wouldn't look good on me. So... I present you the 30 minutes no-heat curls/waves tutorial!
 1. Comb your hair well. The method works on any kind of hair, no matter if it's freshly washed or not. Mine was.

 2. Take a hair tie and put your locks into a high ponytail. Don't tighten it too much so you don't damage the curls when you take the tie off.
 3. Spritz your hair until it's damp (not soaking wet!). You can skip this step if it's still damp after the shower.
 4. Find some pieces of scrap fabric (or just recycle and old T-shirt). You are going to need 2 for waves (my case), 3 for big curls and 4 for tight curls.
 5. Divide and conquer! (Here, I split my hair into two sections. I have also tried with 3 and 4 sections and it works out great). Slide the piece of fabric underneath the hair tie, hold the end with a hand and wrap the section around the ribbon with the other. This will give you waves, rather than doll-like curls you would get if you rolled the hair around it.
 Keep wrapping. (Donuts!)
 6. When you finish, just tie both ends of the piece of fabric together. Repeat on the other side(s).
 Ta-dah!
7. Now do whatever you want for half an hour. You can eat, change your clothes, check your emails and so on. You can even sleep like this, it's not uncomfortable or do this in the morning. The more you leave it in your hair, the more defined your curls will be. For me, 30 minutes was enough to get waves.
 8. Unwrap 'em!
 9. Remove the hair tie carefully and add any hair product you like.
 VoilĂ !
(Excuse the frizz, I have only combed it with my fingers and I didn't even look into the mirror, haha)

One year blog anniversary

Today is a big day for my blog. It's one year old! It's also a big day for me, 'cause I'm done with my final exams. Freedom, at last! And yeah, I know I've barely posted anything, but I had almost no spare time because of school, exams, homework, studying, exam preparation and whatnot. But from now on, I will do my best to become more committed to blogging. By the way, happy 4th of July to y'all Americans!

Poppies

Flower addiction #2. I went with my love in a beautiful field of poppies and we took a lot of lovely photos. I adore the last one. Hope you like them!

ELF Cosmetics

I've got a package in my mailbox a few days ago. Ripped it, looked inside and I was like "Wait, what?" I've ordered some products from ELF and they have also sent me some products as a gift. Lovely. So this is what I received:

  • Pigment Eyeshadow in Magical Maroon - this one was a gift and I love it! I was thinking about buying it, but I wasn't so sure about loose eyeshadow. Anyway, the colour is perfect and it's so easy to apply. It even has a tiny brush!
  • Blending Eye Brush - also a gift. I was going to discard my old drugstore brushes anyway. It's so soft and it's not shedding any hair. This makes me buy all the other brushes.
  • Concealer brush - it was about time I bought a concealer brush. Now I know it will stay onto my imperfections all day long.
  • Lip Stain in Crimson Crush - I love lip products that last and this is perfect. I can eat, drink, kiss and so on without having to worry about my make-up.
  • Zit Zapper - this one is super effective. I hate when a zit ruins my face, but this little roll-on just erases it.
  • All Over Color Stick in Persimmon- it illuminates my cheeks, my lids, my lips and it smells delicious!
  • Individual Lash Kit - I've never used false lashes because I think they look...fake, but I became excited when I received this. They seem pretty natural and I just have to practice until I apply them easily.
  • Spring Edition Beauty Clutch - I just adore this! I like all the 32 eyeshadow colors, I can't wait to try them. The 6 lip colors are not too bold and they are lovely, though I am not so much into the clear-glitter one, it looks too childish. The bronzer and the blushes suit my face perfectly and the face shimmer resembles the color stick. For my eyebrows, I usually use the brow set from Avon, but I like the eyebrow powder and cream from this set too, especially the cream alone, it looks more natural.

Farewell

I graduated today! Yesterday, actually, today we received our diplomas. Four years of highschool are over, I can't believe it. I'm also getting closer to finals. I'm pretty terrified, honestly. But for now, things are good.
It was pouring when I woke up, but that didn't stop me from wearing a skirt and wedges. Almost everybody wore jeans, I guess the rain scared them. We had a pizza after the festivity and took a bunch of awful photos because of the low light. I'm gonna miss those guys.
